Tars Tarkas

Based off of Tars Tarkas from Edgar Rice Burroughs' Barsoom series. I sculpted this quite a few years ago now. I was/am a fan of the Burroughs' Barsoom books and when I heard that Disney was making an adaptation I felt I need to get my version out of my head before it was altered by the movie depiction. I tried to stick closely to the book descriptions and mixed in some elements from the classic Frazetta paintings. Sculpted in Chavant NSP.
